2022 Knight's Flight Charity Fund-raiser: Official Rules


ELIGIBILITY

You must be 18 years or older to purchase a "50-50" ticket and sponsorship of more than 1 50-50 ticket is allowed). Only one (1) individual may be identified as the sponsor (or purchaser / buyer) of the Knight Flight 50-50 ticket. All federal, state and local laws and regulations apply. Sponsorships may be purchased from any authorized KofC Council 3986 salesperson or the knightlight.org web site. It is the purchaser's responsibility to provide a valid, deliverable email address and/or phone number to the Knights of Columbus Council 3986 (KoC3986), Attn: Fundraiser Committee, P.O. Box 134, Decatur, AL, 35602-0134. KoC3986 and its agents, vendors, volunteers and members assume no liability for lost, late, misdirected, mutilated, incomplete, illegible, undelivered entries or entries without proper payment received, which entries shall be deemed invalid and shall be immediately disqualified. By entering the KoC3986 Fundraiser, the 50-50 sponsor acknowledges that he or she is aware of and agrees with the KoC Fund-raiser official rules.

ENTRY AND WINNING NUMBER

Contest event description and dates are as follows: Winning ticket Determination - The winning ticket will be determined at the Knights of Columbus regular June meeting on June 9, 2022 at the 7p.m. at Saint Ann School Cafeteria on Spring Avenue, Decatur, AL. All tickets should be completed with identifying information. 

• Winning Determination - The winning ticket will be determined by a team of 3 judges selected by the KoC 3986 at the council meeting June 9, 2022. The decision of the judges in determining the winner is final. 

RETURN AND CANCELLATION POLICY

ALL purchases of fund-raiser entries are non-refundable.

PRIZES

Only one winner will be awarded. Prizes will be in the form of cash/check. The odds of winning a prize are dependent upon the number of valid entries received, but is expected to be 1-in-800 to 1-in-1200. The calculation of a 1-in-1200 chance to win a prize is based on the purchase of a single ticket. Up to 4,500 tickets could be potentially sold which would decrease the calculation of winning. 

The winner of the Grand Prize is entitled to 50% of total ticket sales, capped at $5,000.

NOTIFICATION OF WINNERS

All winners will be notified by phone and/or by email of the prize won and any requisite procedure to claim the prize. All prizes MUST be claimed by July 31, 2022 or the prize will be forfeited.

TAXES AND IRS RULES

All winners shall be responsible for any and all federal, state and local taxes.

WAIVER/LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

Entry sponsors/ticket purchasers, by participating (and winners, by accepting a prize) release the KoC3986 and its respective board, committee members, volunteers, partners, vendors, agents, representatives, sponsors, service agencies and independent contractors, and each of their respective directors, officers, partners, employees and agents, including advertising, public relations, direct marketing and promotion agencies, from any and all liability with respect to participation in the promotion and possession or use of the prizes(s) awarded and also acknowledge that they did not receive any representations, warranty or guarantee, express or implied, in fact or in law, relative to any prize, including but not limited to its quality, mechanical condition or fitness. Any liability of KoC3986 shall be limited to sponsorship price paid and in the case of any dispute, KoC3986's decision shall be final. KoC3986 may at any time modify, revise, or update the Official Rules to correct any errors, omissions or changes to the Charity Fund-raiser, in its sole discretion.
